    That was the first …
    That was the first song I learned when I started playing. All I did was finger picking for years and when I decided to get into using the pick to play more rock I was really bad with the pick and I still am but finger picking after a while doesn’t take any thought and sometimes it is a bad idea to think to much while finger picking.

    this + the 1,9 mil view video helped me learn this in like 20 min! the part where he says it’s easier to just use the right hand is true, even though I didn’t listened through the whole video before playing I noticed now that it’s true.

    dude why use the …
    dude why use the thumb twice in a row when you can just use a thumb and 3 fingers. That way every finger has a string ignment and the plucking pattern seems way less awkward

    I don’t believe you guys are wasting your time discussing his fingernails. You obviously do not have anything better to do with your time. Classically trained guitarists always have fingernails on their plucking hand that are long. This is no mystery. Many classic guitarists who play acoustic will do the same. It is easier to play finger picking style and gives a clean note. If it doesn’t work for you, don’t let your fingernails grow. Do what works for you.

    You are right. You don’t need them. But Many use finger and thumb picks (Tony Furtado is one), many grow their nails, and many play like you. This guy’s nail is pretty long. But it works for him. I have no nails even to the end of my fingers and I pick OK. I have thought of using picks just to make it louder.

    It’s not bullshit, Professional acoustic guitarist grow there fingernails out. I’m a guitarist and I know several guitarists who play acoustic. I even met Al Stewart and Dave Nachmanoff at Junefest 2009 at the Silverado Casino here in Las Vegas, as stated these 2 PROFESSIONAL Acoustic guitarists had somewhat longer fingernails. I never said you HAVE too, But it’s a basic thing most acoustic guitarists do.

    Okay that’s bullshit. How many professional guitarists do you see with long nails that play acoustic? I don’t have long nails and I can do finger picking fine. YOu don’t need ong nails to do that.
