What kind of acoustic guitar is good for girls?

I’ve been learning on an electric guitar and I’m looking for an acoustic now. I’ve had trouble in the past with acoustic because the body is so big and I have a hard time wrapping my arms around it.

Are there good quality acoustic guitars that are easier for girls to play? Price is not an issue and I’d rather stick to the well known brands.

    it all depends, are you looking to play classical guitar or more modern guitar, you should try a fender, or just go to a guitar store and start trying them all out. you’ll find one eventually.

    Any guitar that a guy can play a girl can play as well. The problem your going to have is switching from electric guitar to acoustic guitar. No offense, but any expert can tell you that you will find that acoustic guitar is much more difficult to play than electric guitar because of the wider body and the higher action. If you want a really nice guitar, go for a Taylor or a Gibson… but watch out, they can reach $1500+ easily. A great mid-range acoustic brand is Seagull. A nice Seagull can be bought for around $900. The tone is great, action is amazing, and it looks good too :) As a testament, I usually prefer playing my Flame Maple Seagull ($750) more than my Gibson Songwriter ($2000).

    In my opinion, your best bet would be an Ibanez g series. I had a gs I believe and the body is very thin. It projects surprisingly well, and comes with electronics. As for shape, I wouldnt advise a dreadnought as they tend to be huge. If you opt for not getting an Ibanez, go with something in a grand auditorium shape, they are smaller. Or you can always go to http://www.mguitar.com and use their guitar finder… Hope this helps

    If price is no issue, try out a Martin or a Taylor. If you want a classical guitar, they’re all going to be easy to play because the strings have a lot less tension.

    There’s a company called Jay Turser and a brand called Kay that makes some pretty nice entry level guitars, some of them are even thinner.

    My final suggestion is to check out Ovation guitars. They seem like they’re made for girls and they sound great. Kaki King plays one, and she rocks so hard. There’s a video for it at this link:
