A Guide For Todays Musician
What kind of acoustic guitar should i get thats $300 or less?

I am getting a guitar tomorrow from guitar center and right now i just want a acoustic guitar that’s good and $300 or less? I saw a Dean Playmate that looked pretty nice but i don’t know anything bout guitars. Please help?

CharlotteD: Get one that fits your hand properly, not to large so you won’t have a problem holding it comfortably. The necks come in different widths, you need one that will allow your fingers to stretch across it comfortably when your playing. Listen to the sound and make sure it doesn’t sound tin-ie. you can get a fender/squire for way less, that was my first and their pretty good for their price
i would suggest gibson but i dont think they are under $300 unless maybe they’re second hand
personally dean playmate is not amazing but if its within yout budget
by the way, tip, make sure you dont get a guitar with nylon strings, unless that is what you specifically wanted, metal (completely forgot the name) strings are best even if youre begiinning, i only suggest nylon if you’re under 11 or your fingers (for beginners) cant take pain from calluses
    good luck

For 300 you can get something decent… I would recommend getting something used so you get more bang for your buck. as far as an acoustic in that range, look at Takamine. I would not recommend Dean guitars, they are cheap, poor quality guitars.

I would recommend the Yamaha. I’ve been playing Yamaha acoustics my whole life and I definitely think they give you the most bang for your buck.
