I traded a Fender … I traded a Fender Hor Rod Deville 2×12 for this amp, they are basically the same, with the exceptions that deville is 60 watt, the deluxe is 40, the deville is pushing 2×12 or 4×10, where as the deluxe pushing a 10, this amp tonally has the deville beat!
The deluxe has way more character, I play a 52 RI Tele, and Pedal steel, both sound amazing through this amp, Fender made a real winner here!
this amp has 40watt … this amp has 40watt. i think the amp wouldnt even come close on a volume like a 150watt amp.
also the problem is, if you turn all on full power, that the headroom of the clean channel is away and you get only a crunchy sound or a distortioned one.

This guy really … This guy really undercut the amp. I have A set of them played through A jb box in stereo, and I play nothing but hard rock. not death metal but everything from green day to gnr and metallica. I have had every stack there is and I prefer these combo amps over any of them for playing gigs at clubs and stuff. My only downside is I wish I would have bought the 40 amps, because the 60s are way to loud to ever crank up, the drummer gets ed off. overall, beautiful sounding amps. for any music.
It really bugs me … It really bugs me how all these kids go on about gear on forums etc but clearly don’t know all, when it comes to actually using a tube amp. 9/10 people commenting on tube amps are like that.
You put the volume on the amp around 3.5 to 4.0 and control output/volume on the guitar (American Strat) with the volume knob. This way you can control the sounds totally and get the exact amount of break up you want.
sounds deadly man, … sounds deadly man, I play a Gibson BFG and I use a Boss ds-1 distortion pedal and it sounds deadly. And to say one more thing!!! This guy obviously doesn’t want to blow the cameraman away to the next room because if he’d let that amp loose and throw the second gain on buddy would be gone. This guys gotta crank it, this demo does this amp no justice. My opinion on it anyways. Cheers.
this amp is great … this amp is great all around,my band mates are always telling me”turn that fkn thing down” so no probs on loudness. It also responds well to many different pedels,it just depends on your taste.Great club amp,not too heavy.Try to avoid the dirt chnls and the loop,loops always fck up the sound,so i suggest using pedels.Have fun with it.STEVE MILLER,ORANGE COUNTY,CALIF.
