A short video guide to Electronic Music

I’m tired of people calling electronic music “techno”, so I made this video to show them what techno and other genres like trance, house & hardcore are all about. This is just a short guide, and I don’t claim to be 100% correct in any of these genres.     i roffled a couple …
    i roffled a couple of times, and trance and eurorave techno will rule the world.

    But somethings i disagreed with, yes every tiem we touch is a pop song, but the saw was great. ( ive listened to tones of songs with the same song.) when people ask me what music i like, i jsut say techno, meaning any song that has straight 4 kicks between 120-160 bpm, including a base, a synth lead, and either a string, piano, or pad intro. all are good, but still, techno, in my opinion, is the lord of genres.

    Few things – I think it would have been nice to state that Rap/Hip Hop would be considered Funky Breaks. Also, that “Hardcore” you played was Hardstyle (REALLY hard Trance). If it were 30BPM faster, it would be gabber.

    DnB is Jungle, just without Raga influences.

    Epic/Euphoric/Anthem trance all pretty much sounds teh same – its more of a time period thing if you ask me.

    XPANDER is not Progressive Trance – Progressive Trance is Housey Trance

    …I do know …
    …I do know however that a lot of Hard Dance/Hardstyle producers/DJ’s dabble in the UK Hardcore scene, and the opposite applies for a lot of UK Hardcore Producers.
    I am by no means an expert, it is just my opinion.

    Very Good guide on the whole..

    Personally though I class Hardcore as ‘UK Hardcore’, such producers of this genre include Scott Brown, Gammer, Joey Riot, Brisk Sy, Squad-E etc etc.
    What you labelled as Hardcore, sounds much more like Hard Dance/Hardstyle IMO, producers such as Mark E.G. and Cally & Juice are very heavily involved with this…
