In the music industry today Social Networking is the #1 technique for getting your songs heard. Let’s face it, the internet is here to stay. If your a musician and your not using any of these social networking websites then you are leaving a lot on the table. A network is viral, it’s like a train. Once it is in motion it’s hard to stop. Momentum in music is a powerful thing if you can harness it. Through social networking you can create your own community of like minded people. Friend Feed, Twitter, My Space, U-tube, And Facebook are just a few of the hundreds if not thousands of places you can network. The best thing is it’s free.

This is advertising at it’s best. However free is a relative term, if you consider time as money then it’s not free at all. In fact it can turn out to be quite time consuming. Don’t let that scare you though, most people I know really enjoy it. Once you join at least one of these services then the next thing you should consider is making a home for all the content you create. The best place to keep your content is on a blog. Unlike a web site a blog can be easily updated and there is no need to know any code or computer language. Wordpress Direct is a new site where you can create your blogs for free. If you think you’ve never seen a Wordpress Blog, your wrong. Your looking at one right now.Get your free blog Here

If you like Wordpress Direct you can always upgrade to a paid version. This is really cool. This site will automatically post relavant content by going out onto the internet and finding articles and videos and placing them on your site. Don’t worry they leave all the controll in your hands and will not do anything without your approval. Still Confused? Check out this great video on Social networking.
